getting advice on grad school

talking to the esl teacher about what i should do for grad school

and so young

she invited me to observe her classes

i got some teachers to give me $5 to play in my world cup pick 'em league that i'm running

then i learned to play french horn

i played flute a little bit

(in the band room)

brushed up on my tuba playing

then i rollerbladed to my friend dave's house

where we swam in his pool

played soccer

smoked a bowl with his girlfriend

i made a fish salad

we fell asleep watching cnn en espanol

I know, I understand. Said friend called me a "proto-dyke" today in an email. It's not really the gay thing that's reminisent of him, it's the "discontent with current job but staying anyway...should be writing novels" thing.

And I guess some sort of writerly, nostalgic, sometimes melancholy, humanitarian way of being.
