Hmm. Boston, Chicago and NY would all be fine, though the snow would take some getting used to.

I couldn't handle LA simply because of the non-existent public transport and shitty traffic - this is one of the main reasons why I probably won't be staying in Sydney all that long after finishing uni.

Don't really know enough about Philly to judge, but wouldn't be my first choice.

Would also be happy with San Francisco or Portland
