...were fuckin' incredible in Berkeley.

I flew to O-Town, drove into Berkeley, checked into my hotel, grabbed a quick bite to eat and queued up for the general admission show with my buds. While we were waiting in line, you could hear them do their soundcheck which lasted for about an hour. It was akin to having a double dosage of RH! Opening with "Airbag", they played lotsa songs from OK Computer, new shit, a couple from The Bends. It was a fantastic set!

Btw, I'm a new fan of the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley (picture a Roman auditorium). I had never been and loved the setting. Friends who attended both nights said I attended the better of the two. I tell ya, I can't wait for this Thursday and Friday...more good times to be had.

And yeah yeah...I know, it's another Radiohead thread. I'm allowed.

Glad you had an awesome time, T. I'm still peeved they're not doing a theatre stop in Mich (they haven't been in state since '97) but seeing them @ Bonnaroo was a nice consolation.

They're on top of their game right now live, that's for sure. At Bonnaroo they seemed to be having a ton of fun the entire time. And the new stuff has me REALLY looking forward to the new record - and I'm not an end-all, be-all Radiohead fan so it takes a little more from them to get me geeked.

Pass along impressions from this week's shows. Hope they're just as great.

I saw Ray Dee, and first thought Ray Davies not Radiohead. I'm out of touch.

*bump* for review of last night's show....

(and stop complaining, i didn't start another thread.)

so last night's show in san diego was INCREDIBLE. i drove a total of six hours to get to/from the show (3 1/2 hrs to get to the venue, 2 1/2 to get home) and i'm effin beat today but all in all it was SO worth it.

i was 30 feet away from the stage... so i was completely freaking out. got to the venue around 5:30 - nice venue, outdoor stage near the marina, general admission... so we were able to camp out a spot.

deerhoff - my goodness, they are awful. i do not like them at all. although, i do like the drummer.

anyway, radiohead came on and of course everyone went nuts. the new material is simply amazing... my favorites are 15 step & all i need (from what i heard so far). during exit music, i actually cried - it moved me so much... thom's voice was simply beautiful and jonny was amazing in the background... and i went nuts during climbing up the walls.

i don't know, being that close to the stage was simply unreal.

setlist:
01. airbag
02. the national anthem
03. where i end (and you begin)
04. 15 step
05. exit music
06. bodysnatchers
07. my iron lung
08. go slowly
09. videotape
10. i might be wrong
11. climbing up the walls
12. all i need
13. pyramid song
14. spooks
15. idioteque
16. myxamatosis
17. bangers n' mash
18. bones

encore #1:
19. like spinning plates
20. a wolf at the door
21. down is the new up
22. fake plastic trees

encore #2:
23. nude
24. everything its in right place

i tried to take pictures, but since it was GA, it was hard to not take pictures of people's heads and/or hands... but i managed to get a couple, not the best quality (i have a shitty camera), but at least it's something:

and i get to do it all over again on thursday!!!!!

Hey, Dri, didja see any of my crew there? They should've been up there in the front.

Glad you had a great time -- where you sittin' for Thursday's show?
