She's from Mexico.
My first advice to him and her, of course, was for her just to stay illegal and wait for W to give her amnesty. They'd save a lot of legal fees.

They chuckled, but want to go it legally.
It's a legit marriage and they're my closet friends, so of course I done one up (based upon a template his father -- a lawyer -- drafted).

I just hope all goes smoothly.

Freudian slip?
No just a typo... but a doozie!

Good catch.

Yes.
And damn good enchaladas, as well as 7 or 8 different kinds of mole.
Still waiting to try those moles, though.

This isn't a typo but read incorrectly is worse than calling them closet friends.

I feel like I'm missing something here. Are you a lawyer and/or priest or can anyone write up a marriage certificate in the States? ????

I did not marry them, nor am I an attorney.
I am just a friend, writing up a sworn affadavit, as a witness to the fact that theirs is a marriage of love and not of convenience, to circumvent the US Immigration laws.

Ohh. Didn't realize people had to do that. But I understand why they would.
