They had to use CGI to depackage him because his raging superboner was too distracting.

Saw it tonight. The movie is a bit long at 2:34, but it was feckin' great. It is one of the best superhero movies I have seen. Lex had a bit less action in the movie than I expected but you can tell that it cost 300 million to make.

I will be seeing this again for sure. It certainly gave me my fix of superman making up for two decades or so since the first few. I definitely suggest seeing it. I had a great time at this movie.

Ebert gave it a surprisingly disappointing rating; usually he's pretty good about viewing a movie from the perspective of the "target audience" as he sees it, so I thought that Singer at the helm would guarantee a 3.5 or so.

saw it last night and was disappointed. it looked like a loose remake of the first film, same plot, same rehashed lines, but no substance to the characters. dialogue was weak and it seemed showcasing supe's powers was more important to singer than anything else.

i liked it. it's actually been so long since i've seen the reeve films that they probably could've redone it word-for-word and i wouldn't've noticed/minded.

there were some tremendous scenes and i liked that there was a lot of emphasis on the superman/lane relationship.

Would you believe there's a guy where I work that has that phrase as his personalized license plate?

:nono:

I'd like to see this but it's not a #1 priority or anything. Maybe something to do with my younger bro and sis or something.

I gotta say, that's pretty awesome.

I can think of one or two better personalized plates (Dalen's for instance) that are better, but that's good shit.

I actually went to see this over the weekend mostly because I wanted to see a movie and this seemed to suck less than the other offerings. I went in with low expectations.

I thought it was great. It's a summer freaking blockbuster. Get your popcorn, load it up with butter and check your brain at the door. Thumbs up.

I saw it yesterday, and I liked it. My expectations had been drastically lowered going in, but once again, I'm kind of dismayed by all of the disappointment in this movie. It wasn't great, but were any of the Superman movies ever really great? How much could you expect from this?

It did try to be a little heavy for a superhero (especially Superman) movie, and it probably wasn't as much *fun* as it could have been. I liked Kevin Spacey, but he was no Gene Hackman. Parker Posey was great though, and I didn't think the dude playing Superman was nearly as "wooden" as he was made out to be by critics and such. Lois Lane and Lex Luther's characters both seemed a little off, but then I don't really know that much about them as I was never a big Superman fan as a kid.

I wouldn't go see it again or anything, but you could do a whole lot worse with summer movies.

I saw this tonight. It was alright, I guess. The action sequences were pretty great but the story was a little weak and if they bring back Luthor for the 2nd one It'll probably sink the *possible* franchise.
