has anyone listened to the 'book on tape' this guy did as an alternate audio track for HP?
we watched it this weekend and it's freaking hilarious.
i wont spoil it by revealing any of the details, but if you can get yr hands on it, i highly recommend it.

edit: you can find it here:

I think I just found a new project...

EDIT: And I'm wondering if using a PAL-region DVD will cause a sync problem later in the movie since it's 4% faster?

well, the way we did it was to just start the audio when the 'privet drive' sign comes up on screen, and we did have to adjust here & there during the film, but nothing too bad. it didnt flow 100% but at the same time, i dont think it detracted from it too much b/c we still laughed our asses off.
if anything, you should just shoot the guy an email. i'm sure he'd be happy to know this was making the rounds.

Yeah, from the looks of it you need to start right at the beginning with the WB logo. I haven't watched the whole thing, but certain bits so far have been great. Thanks for this.

I've ripped the DVD video onto a file, merged the two mp3s together, and will mix them overnight to get the entire movie with the audio track. I need to reset the framerate, so it would be in sync with the audio. It should work out well, though. :)

Thanks, spoon.

Last night's result was pretty good. Am tweaking it a bit during today's mix (louder volume), but it should be pretty serviceable for something iPod-compatible that also looks halfway decent on TV-Out. Having said that, it will weigh in around 1.75 GB.

Am wondering what else to do this with? Wizard of Oz + Dark Side of the Moon? Passion of the Christ + A Ghost is Born? What are some of the other audio/video urban myths out there?
