(aka another damn thread about these guys...)

They cover the Violent Femmes on the record?

Come on... this is a cool thing.
Surprisingly reverent version, but still cool in its own way.

Makes me smile.

The interview in pitchfork talked about this. Something I found interesting is that Cee-Lo had never heard the song before. Kinda cool.

Borrowing it now, thanks, Timis.
But yeah, I guess I did miss the discussion on the Femmes about this.

I tend to ignore threads like this one that I just made... about an over-hyped band.

Maybe I shouldn't.

Thanks fer the offer, though!

no, not really. I mean, who ever goes to the hip-hop forum? And who would post that a neo-funk act would cover the voilent femmes in said hip-hop forum? I'm not being sarcastic, either. At first I was like "hey, nobody ever reads my posts!" and then i looked it up and thought "well no wonder, idiot". and then I punched myself in the face 2 dozen times.

Hell, I wouldn't even call them a hip-hop act after listening to the album.
They cover a lot of stylistic ground.

And I like it.

I'm not trying to pick on you here, Todd, but am I right that you were claiming that no one mentioned something in threads that you, by your own admission, did not read?
