skipping the requisite 'man, siren was so crowded i decided to wander around instead' post, i have to say i had an amazing experience sat night.

my gf works doing lighting for celebrate brooklyn, and during sat night's show the performers had projections which means, obviously, they had a projector and the upstage screen set up for the evening.
well, after the show was over and the place was emptied of people, she called me to ride over there b/c the tech folks decided to put on talking heads 'stop making sense' & have their own late night movie screening.
so i hopped on my bike & hoofed it over [love those midnight/bklyn bike rides], & i got to sit up on stage & watch the film with what i have to say is the best stereo surround i have ever heard.
and there was free beer.
and it was good.

just thought i'd share since some of the folks on this board might appreciate the moment.

I met up with a friend who bought me drink after drink and dinner at a fantastic seafood place. And who then made me drink after drink at his house while we hung out with his friend, the ex gay porn star (who brought cupcakes!), walked dogs down to the Hudson and watched Napoleon Dynamite. And drank.

I had so many questions for him, but he was reserved and hadn't actually given up the ex gay porn star tid bit to me, even in my drunken state I knew better than to ask.

My Sat night included that kind of activity as well.

Senor Six & I went to a friend's b-day party. There we met up with our roomie who proceeded to ply us with copius amounts of Rose throughout the night (in addition to the rum we were already drinking).

Needless to say we were both WRECKED yesterday.

Fun was had by all.
