At my college, i have this huge Jean Claude Van Damme poster on the door of our unit (my college is divided into units each with a common room shared by 9 student rooms). It's a great poster, a circa Bloodsport glamour shot with him and the highest-waisted pants you'll likely ever see, slinging a jacket over his shoulder, surrounded by a montage of him doing all sorts of kung fu moves in a leotard.

So some guys in my college have been putting up some porno pictures around the joint, in their bathrooms and doors and stuff, you know how it is.

Some girls have complained that such pictures degrade women, and the responsible parties were forced to take them down and put them up in the privacy of their own rooms. A bit stupid, i know, but it gets worse.

Some time later, i was ordered to take down my picture of the nubile Van Damme, because, as the management says, the door of sexism swings both ways.

What. The. Fuck.

And no, they're not joking. I laughed when they told me 'cause i thought it was a joke. But it's not.

So they turn a blind eye to all the fucking and drinking, but ethically have to draw the line at sexism and remove a picture of Van Damme with his shirt off.

No it's not a direct quote, but he said something equally as stupid that has slipped my mind.

You should start dressing like him in the picture and do the karate moves in the dorm hallways.
