Here's a 14 song overview of Giant Sand from 1985 to 2004. There's a couple songs I left off just because of a huge difference in mastering volumes, but it's still most of my faves by the band.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 6F533963BF

Track listing:

1. Valley Of Rain - Valley of Rain, 1985
2. Thin Line Man - Ballad of a Thin Line Man, 1986
3. Artists - Valley of Rain, 1985
4. Desperate Man - Ballad of a Thin Line Man, 1986
5. Year Of The Dog - Center of the Universe, 1992
6. Loretta & The Insect World - Center of the Universe, 1992
7. Trickle Down System - Swerve, 1990
8. Anti-Shadow - Ramp, 1991
9. Warm Storm - Ramp, 1991
10. Yer Ropes - Glum, 1994
11. Spun - Glum, 1994
12. Temptation of Egg - Chore of Enchantment, 2000
13. Shiver - Chore of Enchantment, 2000
14. Flying Around the Sun at Remarkable Speed - Giant Sand Is All Over The Map, 2004

Sweet.

So nothing from The Love Songs or Long Stem Rant? Are you not a fan of those records?

I've only got Love Songs on vinyl - and would've included "Robes of Bible Black" if I'd had it in a digital format. I've got Long Stem Rant and WANTED to include "Searchlight" or "Paved Road To Berlin", but the sound levels are so much lower than everything else that it drives me insane.

Typical. A band I've been wanting to check out for while now and I have no home internet access for 3 weeks.

Any chance you'd PM me this at a later date Rads?

Also, after looking for it forever I picked up The Saints - Eternally Yours over the weekend. Paid entirely too much for it but that shit is smokin.

I could hook you up with a digital copy of The Love Songs. I have it here at work, actually.

That'd be awesome, Drinky. Thanks!

And Derris, I can't promise anything because my current YSI superpowers have a definite time limit - but at the very least I'll be able to send you a CDR via the postie nogoodniks.

You are as dumb as a mule, and twice as ugly.

I will give this to you when you come down in a few weeks.

I just uploaded the Giant Sand album The Love Songs for Rads. If anybody else wants it, PM me (or him, I guess).

Very cool Rad. Love Giant Sand. Did you consider adding any tracks from Backyard BBQ? I think its a relevant addition to their catalog. If you don't have it, I have a burned copy around here somewhere that I could dig up and rip for you.

The YSI link is dead, so here's the same mix on sendspace:

And Flying Rabbit - I've never heard Backyard BBQ. Is it a live album or whut?
