The real news is that Ian Brown’s album Solarized is being released by Koch Records on February 22 with a US tour to follow. Ian Brown touring and playing Stone Roses songs live, I just might have to go.

Has anyone heard Solarized yet? If so, is it any good?

Jesus. While I bristle at the thought of "Ian Brown Sings The Stone Roses", at this point I don't care enough to quibble. I just wanna hear those songs live before I die.
Best-case scenario; he gets Mani and Reni into the loop, brings in a hired-gun axeman and it's 90% of the original.
That's all I want. Just be reasonable so one late-comer Britpop fan can die a happy man.

Is that too much to ask?

it's awful. one half-way decent song in keep what you got, with noel gallagher.

i don't know if i'd want to see him performing stone roses songs live. i'd prefer to keep the memory of the one time i actually got to see them live back in '95.

Back away from the Solarized, seriously. You don't need to hear it.
