How was 'Songs for Silverman' anyway?

I always meant to pick it up, but never did.

Pile o' shit. Seriously. I loved Rockin' the Suburbs, but Silverman was seriously lame. It sounds like he's on the road to doing soundtracks to kids movies and then what happens? He goes and does the soundtrack to a kids movie. Aside from a couple tracks (Jesusland comes immediately to mind) his stuff is slipping that slimy slope from "adult alternative" to "adult contemporary." Soon he'll be collaborating with Sting and Phil Collins, I'm sure.

It did me, too, more than a little bit.

Recently I saw some LUNATIC in front of me in the record shop queue exchange a copy of 'Whatever And Ever, Amen'.

I probably have most of their singles so it will interesting to see if this compilation will be worth picking up.

Could have been because he got the extended remaster that came out not too long ago and didn't need the old one . . .
