...not too into dive bars so therefore let's say I really dislike the Smog Cutter on Virgil in the Silverlake area of LA....might be just what you're looking for....I believe some insane middle-aged vietnamese ex-madams run the place...

Nope, not Klassic's--I've been there too, but this place is waaaay down Atlanta Highway past the mall and all that right before you have to turn left to get on 78.

In my definition of "dive bar" I fully realize that I will probably never step into a real dive bar because they are in the scary parts of town. The ones I mentioned for Indianapolis are more like the dive bars that try to be dives and therefore aren't really dive bars at all.
