I'm not a gigantic Peyton fan, but why all the Peyton hate? Plus, "Cut That Meat" is awesome.

Eli comes across as a prissy bitch, though.

I hate Peyton as a player, but he's seriously the greatest athlete in commercials pretty much ever. That new one on ESPN with the Manning family "touring" ESPN studios while on "summer vacation" is so damn funny. The look Archie shoots them after Eli follows up Peyton's flicking of his ear with a wet willie is classic.

And "Cut That Meat" is Hall of Fame-worthy.

But why?

Frustratingly unfulfilled potential. At some point, you've got to figure out a way to make your numbers MEAN something, instead of simply padding your stats and making early exit after early exit every year in the playoffs. It's not like he's stuck on a shitty team with no hope of going all the way, like his old man. The Colts have had enough talent around him over the past 5-7 years that a middling guy like Bledsoe or Bulger could probably at least have gotten that team to the Super Bowl by now.

Nothing is more maddening than wasted ability. It's long past time for Peyton to crap or get off the pot. This goes all the way back to his days underachieving with the Vols.
