Shellac never really lets people/retailers/etc. know they're putting out an album until about a month before it comes out...

They don't need to send out any copies to retailers/booking agents/etc., because people will buy Shellac albums. Period...

...and they played a bunch of new songs when they were out here in March that sounded great. They joked that they were just trying to figure out the packaging before they put it out.
