My buddy crove 3 hours from Champaign to Chicago to meet the guys at a Sam Ash store here, before seeing them at House of Blues. Said it was a great show.

Holy christ, I know exactly where that is. Weird.

I got paid and had a nice quiet morning listening to music while drinking coffee at The Coffee House downtown.

I didn't go to work today -- feel like I'm coming down with the flu, achy body, etc. Good thing? I slept in 'til 11:35am.

I used to do it almost all day when I was preparing for my comprehensive exams for grad school. Nothing like summarizing three to four journal articles a day, drinking six to eight cups of coffee and listening to eight to ten albums in one sitting.
Now I rarely get to enjoy a couple hours doing it.

I hear yah. My ideal living situation was when I was in Grad school working on my thesis. I lived alone in downtown Mtl, cheap apt, quiet but near the bars, etc., and the best breakfast place/cafe just up the street. I'd carry a couple of articles along with me and spend the day sitting in the cafe or on my couch in the sun... listening to album after album.

*sigh*

(mind you, I was racking up a mighty student debt at the time)
