I've only done karaoke once ever in my life. It was at Schuba's in Spring 2004 while visiting the Chi-bners. I sang ZZ Top's "Tush," backed by the lovely and talented and lovely Princess Hasty. If I ever sing karaoke again, it will have to be one of these songs:

"Wildflower" - Skylark
"If You Want My Love" - Cheap Trick
"Fat Bottomed Girls" - Queen
"Conquistador" - Procol Harem
"Canary in a Coalmine" - The Police

I don't either, but if I did, I would bust out some Conway Twitty.

Please, PLEASE tell me you rig the mic just like Lemmy, where it's pointed down from above and you have to sing up into it. I know how tall you are Duffman, and this would not require any sort of special mic stand extension.

I wasn't going to post until I saw other people responded with nothing. I haven't done bar karaoke with a karaoke machine since something like 2001. The last time I did live band Karaoke I believe I sang Walk on the wild side by Lou Reed. During one of the holidays a few years back, my brother and I along with my girlfriend and his friends had a party at my mom's house and used a mic, amp and cd player and did indie karaoke.

This popped up on Winamp earlier today, and I damn near jumped onto my desk and gave my co-workers a most impromptu and seriously unwelcome performance. One of my favorite parts of the Stewart Copeland doc was seeing footage of the recording session for this song, with iso on Sting's vocals. That is such an awesome album!
