Armisen and Forte are absolute tools. Armisen being the comedian other comedians think is funny, and Forte's only trick is that he can't perform at a reasonable volume

Amy Poehler is awesome.

will forte has a few things going for him. for some reason, the spelling bee sketch cracks me up.

"business. b... r... d... t... w... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... r... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q... q. business."

Poehler: overrated, but not bad
Armisen: has his moments, but a little of him goes a long way
Forte: at times is the funniest cast member, other times the worst
Rudolph: underrated, and great jugs
Meyers: the most consistent of the main cast
Hammond: I remember Phil Hartman. I watched Phil Hartman. And you, sir, are no Phil Hartman. (Still, he's a decent impressionist.)
Parnell: doesn't have much in his bag of tricks, outside of Merv The Perv
Sanz: missed the "fat ones are supposed to die" memo
Finesse: has potential, but isn't quite living up to it yet

sudeikis: pretty great, always good for a laugh. can do subtle or totally over-the-top. one to lookout for.
samberg: jury's still out, but leaning toward good
hader: another impressionist that can't do anything else
wiig (however you spell it): jury's still out. target girl is awful, some impressions have been decent.

See, I think Hammond's impressions are pretty good. He really nails some nuances of whomever he's portraying. I never was a huge Phil Hartman fan, partly because he was Phil Hartman as Bill Clinton or Phil Hartman as Frank Sinatra.

Parnell's best trick is one he can't turn off: his incredible whiteness. He's amusing and a good team player, but in no way does he have the talent to take over the whole show.

I haven't watched a single bit on SNL since this one.

It's never been that great. I think we tend to remember some golden era that just wasn't there. Even with so-called stellar casts, there have always been terrible sketches. Belushi, Murphy, Farley, Ferrell - all were involved with some bad, bad television.

It is what it is. They have a week to put together a show that's way too long, usually with a guest star that doesn't really get the process.

Taking the longview, it's about the same. My only real gripe is how they feel the need to work within the pop/celebrity culture. I'd prefer original comedy, not half-baked impersonations or slamming people that I really don't care about anyway.

I think the new people are better than the majority of the cast. They should fucking clean house instead of slooooowly phasing people out.

Three years and you're gone.

Some of us losers pass a channel called "E" when we're flipping through the dial. Sometimes, this channel shows SNL repeats.

100% unfunny, and can we go a single show without her doing some atrocious singing?

Lorne Michaels must have some dirt on one of the higher-ups at NBC for this travesty to continue on as long as it has.
