How did I miss this post the first time round? (I know, I know, reading comprehension problems)
Nice. I think I'll use it.

Is that meant to be Buck 65 or something?

P6, Pop Levi @ Horseshoe 10/5. I'll be with them.

I dunno Mister, that week is looking pretty insane for me so far: Yo La Tengo show, Music theory course, DJing at a friend's booklaunch, then leaving for the Eastern Townships (the country) for Thanksgiving. It would be fun to hang though.

...But will you be all: "I'm a ninja. Je suis supere-cooole"

Wait. I asked three questions.

Okay, do over.

Yeah, that's kinda lame and I would never have done that, unless it was Shmoo, and I'm glad I'm not friends with folks like that.

Wait I'm confused, what would you have done to me? Yell at me after I gave constructive criticism... and then offer me pizza?

No, he would have completely dissed you at one of his shows by acting as if he didn't know you.

I didn't know you knew her. Her father works with mine. I got her first EP that way.

And her name is Rachael.

I correctly spelled it in my second response to hegel.

And yes, I know her. My ex and I befriended her in 1999 when she was still with Bumpus and played a few benefit shows with us. He still talks to and emails with her regularly, I just see her when she's in town or by exchanging hellos through the ex.

Can your dad beat up her dad?

I'm not sure. I've never actually seen her dad.

i live in la, this happens all the time. i'm actually afraid this is going to happen with one of my friends right now because the last time i saw him he was acting like he was "too cool for school." we'll see what happens within the next few months.

So you're saying that some people in L.A. can have a propensity for being self-centered, opportunistic a-holes?!

SHOCKING.

Not that I blame them. If you can live with alienating all your friends while trying to grab the brass ring, go for it. Just realize it won't be as great if you don't have people you cared about around to celebrate with.

Oh god no. We ran a small booking agency and organized a bunch of benefit shows (local sick folks, kosovo relief, 9-11, etc). I was going to say "played a few shows for us", but thought that would sound like we were cancer patients or something.
