Is anyone familiar with this collaboration between John Cale and Terry Riley? This could be the sort of thing that could be either really fantastic or make me want to throw myself in front of a train.

that is a perfectly valid answer. Hey did you see that Freak Show? IT was pretty good, but I forgot how janeane garofalo's voice is like nails in my spine.

Sorry to interrupt the off-topic-itude, but it's definitely kin to Terry Riley pieces like "A Rainbow in Curved Air"--minimalist repetition, organs and other keyboards, a little sax--vaguely closer to "rock" than Riley's other stuff. I think it's good.

okay, that sounds good. I was just concerned that Riley's repitition might contrast with Cale's droning and I'd go into seizures or something. so now i'm psyched.
