Most entertaining.

Tell me this is not happening for real though.

Actually, that would not be a bad collaboration. Even better -- if only Cat Power weren't to have done it first -- would have been Axl teaming with the Stax sessionists who played on Green's LPs.

Axl needs to be re-discovered, for the first time. Nobody gets him, certainly not the indie ironists at Buddyhead (have they moved on from their GN'R "infatuation"?), but with the right set-up, yes, maybe, we would.

This doesn't cut it either.

I don't know if Axl gets Axl anymore.

Lots of respected artists are out-of-their-minds-by-half (at least), but no one seems to care. Trent Reznor, Dr. Dre, Tom Waits, Mark E. Smith... & with the exception of Smith, those mentioned, et. al., are about as prolific as Axl. So, I don't see your point.

I think you're giving Axl credit.

Yes, but... I think we'll have to wait for Axl to hit sixty or sixty-five, then get the Rick Rubin treatment, for people to figure it out.

Plus, the Axl Rose biopic will be hella more interesting than Walk the Line. I suggest Gregory Dark to direct (if he's still alive, at that point).

Waits, I would guess, only feigns the crazy. Unlike Smith, I kinda think Tom is play acting.
