Bought it two months ago. Can't wait for Volume 2 in December.

I dug the mini-marathon Sketch, Gav and I had. It brought back memories.

Was this show really that good?

I mean, I was the right age at the time and everything, but I still just thought it was OK.

It had its share of misfires (most Rita & Runt shorts), but the best of it ( including the Pavlov/Rasputin episode, Animaniacs Stew, West Side Pigeons, Warners in Hades) is nothing short of genius IMHO.

Haven't yet picked up Animaniacs, but I did manage to get Pinky and the Brain on DVD a few months back. Both those shows were a huge part of my childhood and funny as hell.

Yup. The Goodfeathers one where they're stunt birds for a Hitchock film. Some great moments with a Jack-Nicholson-sounding crow.

OK, yeah, there's definitely some stuff I forgot about from that show.

I think I tend to remember the parts that got annoying rather than some of the better stuff. I'll try to revisit this sometime.

Thems were good... However, I've already started collecting Pee Wee Herman and The Muppets...

Too many kids shows makes for a creepy DVD collection for a SWM...

Actually, I tried to convince them to get The Muppet Show, Season 1 collection instead. But my advice was met with...

Dad. We've seen The Animaniacs before and we know that we like it. We have NOT seen the Muppet Show before. So we're going to buy the DVD that we know we like.

How do you argue with that?

I haven't seen Animaniacs in many years. I trust it's still funny, though.

I have nearly every Disney animated film on dvd. I bought The Little Mermaid the day it came out.

I'd like to have Snow White on DVD, but other than that, there aren't many Disney movies I'd really want. Maybe Sleeping Beauty because parts of it look really cool.

Pixar doesn't count. I have three of their movies.

I guess I probably should get more classic Disney movies so I can study the animation, but I just don't like most of them as movies. The last time I saw The Little Mermaid, I was struck by how mediocre (by Disney standards) the animation was.

For a TV show, I remember the animation on Animaniacs being really good. It was at least way more consistent than Tiny Toons. Even as a kid, I could tell when different animators were doing different shows.

This was a show that was not entirely meant for kids, much like the old Merrie Melodies cartoons. I thought it was hilarious; I laughed at lots of jokes my younger brothers just didn't get... I also remember getting so mad when it got moved to an earlier time slot and it would come on before I got home from school.
