Hey, not seen you lately. What's up?

I was thinking and this whole situation for me is a bit like losing your house keys. You keep looking and looking and there's no sign of them and your getting really agitated and stressed out because you need your keys, man! You can't function without your keys. You need two things in this world, your bank card and your keys! These are the most important things in life. Your whole existance is at a virtual standstill and all because you can't find your keys. And your checking behind the sofa, and in the cookie jars and the laundry basket and your thinking that you'll never see your keys again and then suddenly....YES! MY KEYS! THEY WERE IN MY POCKET ALL THE TIME.

And this is why you are really like the keys, because once you have you keys back, everything is good! Your like "Yes! I have my keys back, I'm so happy now! I can go out now!" So you go out and have a wonderful time and it's all because you have your keys back. But at first your clinging on to your keys cos your scared you might lose them again but then you think "Hey, have I ever had to go to the key cutting kiosk and a new set of keys?" No, I haven't! Cos even though sometimes you misplace your keys and they might be lost for hours or days or even a week, you always find them again. And then you think "Well I should just stick them in my pocket and who cares if I forget!" If I remember they are there, cool, I have my keys, but even if I do forget it will be worth losing them just for the sheer bliss of finding them again!

So that is why you are like a bunch of keys.

Bye,

Love

Darrin

Yeah but what if you typically have a backup set of keys?

So, Alicia Keys has it all covered.

We can also be played like keys on a piano.

We can be inserted like a key.

We can be dangled on someone's belt loop as if we were a bunch of keys.

I prefer to be the only key in the bunch.

You still have to keep track of that first set because you certainly don't want someone else trying out your keys. If they insert those keys in any of your locks, you could lose things you previously possessed.

Well some keys just can't be duplicated.

That’s a beautiful post.

Darrin, you are all right in my book. People, in general, think having extra time on your hands is counterproductive. My extra time is almost up but it was very liberating.

I'll bet that will happen soon enough- one key will open/start everything for its owner.

But keys don't talk back or multiply when used.

or, what if you're like me and don't lock your place or have any money either? No need for keys or bankcard, really...

Or what if you spend your life in hotels and only need keycards? Which you can discard at will. That is the life.

I have two sets of keys...must be my lack of commitment issues.
