Looking like I'm about to pull my first one since summer 2000. No idea how I used to do this shit.
Already wrote three stories, with a fourth due by the morning.
Plus have to read and outline three chapters for an exam in the morning that I'm SO NOT PREPARED for.

Anyone with words of encouragement, esoterica or cool (but short) YouTube links to post will become my heroes for the week.

I know how you feel - I have three assessments on Friday, then have to start studying for final exams. Can't do the allnighters though - it's only 3pm here and I'm already falling asleep as I scan through a final book before writing an essay

I'm thinking of finishing the story and just calling it good. We get one exam to throw out and not count in our grade and I've aced everything else so far. I might just not even go tomorrow and tell the prof to not count that one.
We'll see.

what kind of stories are you writing?

I remember pulling all nighters to write short stories for classes all the time. I think a lot of my best stuff came from sessions like that. The thing that always works for me is to not get caught up trying to write the whole thing at once, but filling in pieces from the story as they come to you, regardless of which part of the story you're telling. fill in the small shit later.

I'm a newspaper reporter and have 4 stories due by Wed a.m., when various editors arrive at their desks. All 4 of them kind of came together this afternoon and evening, so I couldn't stagger the writing throughout the day to make it more manageable. Last story is 3/4 of the way done.

I might still do this whole thing. I'm feeling good right now. Once I get to 4:30 am, I'll break on through to the other side.
