Just in time, i'm seeing them on the weekend.

It's like a collaboration between Brian Wilson, Josh Homme, Roxy Music, and Mike Patton.

I always pick the wrong time to listen to this album. I'm sure I'll like it all eventually, but right now the only song I like is "Wolves."

Woulda been better if it were the jewel case across the bridge of the nose.

At first, i thought the vocal melodies were a bit amateur and throwaway, but it got me in the end.

I still think some of the songs get by only on 'cool factor' as opposed to standing up in their own right as pieces of good songwriting.

Yeah, I can't seem to get into them at all. That faux Peter Gabriel vocalization the singer does really annoys me.

After overplaying the ep and never buying the debut, this is on my 'to buy' list. I want to like them again.

The album as a whole hasn't clicked just yet but I think "Tonight" might be their second best song.

The vocal melody reminds me of "Who'll Stop the Rain" by ccr.

Yo, I'm loving this album, and allowing it to surprise me.

I had the original leak and didn't care for it at all. I already had Province and it hit me hard so I kept it and ditched the album. Well it's been at least two months and Province continues to overwhelm me so I cow down and buy the cd on the cheap.

For some reason it sounds completely different, like what I kinda thought it was meant to sound like, and right now I'm being blown away. I've been trying to find the old internet version to see if it is different but at this point I don't care.

An intense album for sure.

I'm appreciating Desparate Youth more now that Cookie Mountain helped me finally get these guys, but I'm still partial to the new one.

one thing's for sure - definitely one of the best bands going. Both albums are great.
