Inside the big building.
It was very cool and a lot of fun.
Then we went to Tommy Nevin's for lunch (all you Chicago/Northwestern U. people.)

Any of y'all every go to the B'hai Temple.
The inside is just a huge, single room... completely silent.
Very peaceful. Very nice.

And the site of that puppy coming up on you as you're heading south on Sheridan Road is like the monolith rising up out of the horizon in 2001. Imposing, big, beautiful, and just completely out of place.

My dad used to take me there a few times a year when I was a kid. He hates religion but he loves that place. It's beautiful.

Were your kids quiet inside of the building?

Pretty church.

Point is, it's not our usual church... it's something completely different that is also interesting archatecturally (TimmyJoe... been there?)

Beautiful drive up Sheridan Road, too. Came south to Evanston all the way from Highland Park.

Saw my favorite house (formerly belonged to W. Clement Stone).

Surprisingly, yes!
They just stared at the ceiling and looked out the windows at the lake.

I know but I'm stuck in a field when I belong in a city.

They still have some scaffolding up.
Construction was completed when I was a kid. What are they doing, though? Refurbishing? Repairs?

At any rate, it's always a beautiful place to go. Even with the scaffolding.
