I guess I'll save GG for the scariest guys in rock thread, should it materialize. And I'll settle for Antony as creepy for now.

If G.G. Allin is scariest, where does that leave Mark Clark and I, considering Fractured Take's theory?

Still, not as bad as the lead singer on Eagles of Death Metal.

Was that nobody that had that dude as his avatar, for a piece?

I find this one kind of surprising. Of the descriptors one could level at Ig, I "creepy" is not one that immediately springs to mind.

I'd also have to say that Antony is pretty creepy looking.

i've always thought Pete Doherty looked like he was born a couple of years ago, as a fully grown man. There's something about his fuck-ugly moon-face and inability to grow any non-chin facial hair that exudes that impression.

Nice entries.

I'd like to add:

Josh Homme of QOTSA

Robin Finck (formerly of NIN)

Glenn Danzig

Paul Schafer

...and that new Kenny Rogers picture.

jamie stewart from xiu xiu, not so much for how he looks but for his lyrics, album covers and band in general.

Jack White with that horrible moustache. If I saw somebody that looked like that near children, I might call the police.

There is something inherently creepy about shaved oencil-thin moustaches... in rock and in general. Hitler was pretty creepy.

The Sparks' brother with the moustache was pretty creepy...

But my nomination is the Dylan of about two years ago with the moustache and dyed hair that made him look like Slim Whitman.

What's better is that Lux did a song for Spongebob Squarepants. Loves me some Cramps. Lux is the only guy I've ever seen break microphone stands over his head. He lifts the thing horizontally over his head, as in a military press, then brings the bar down across his noggin. Outrageous.

I saw a good portion of this doc on him that ran on Sundance Channel the other day. The story about him opening for Twisted Sister in Joizee is pretty hilarious, especially given the fact it was told by Jay Jay French. The other amusing anecdote was that Nomi's "day job" was a pastry chef, and he would get people to do all of his crazy onstage antics (he usually had several people onstage with him at each performance) by bribing them with lime tarts and such.

If you'd have claimed his backing band was called the Lime Tarts, I would have believed it.
