From what I know, the US is setting up permanent military bases in the country which means it doesn't really matter who you vote for and the violence will remain stable or increase. I guess to answer the question, I would probably make a decision at the last minute. If anything I'd cast a vote, even if it ends up simply symbolic, for the most democratic non-US-backed candidate. I think if people voted for Iyad Allawi, it would basically be voting for the CIA.
