anyone watching this? i caught snippets during mnf commercials and stayed up to watch the 9pm encore and became hooked. luckily it's only a miniseries, so i won't be droning long in front of the tv, but it's kind of an interesting story. of course, the basis of the plot is a dad looking for his daughter, which is boring; but otherwise, fun stuff. kind of a superpowers-type of show except people themselves don't have the powers.

My husband is watching this. He's totally into it.

I caught some of it monday while baking. I found myself lost but it sounded somewhat interesting.

yeah, my wife is lost and not digging it much either. "so the nail file kills people?" "no, it just puts them to sleep."

Oddly enough, I was just telling my coworker how he'd enjoy this show. I too became ensnared watching bits and pieces of it. I still haven't see the entire first part, but am totally diggin' on those objects having different powers.

I thought the ending was WEAK! Unless this is going to become a series, there were way too many questions left unanswered.

i thought the ending was decent, but a little open-ended. how is life for the main char now that he's the occupant? what of the prophet? the millionaire?

if it becomes a tv series i'd be interested.

there was one part i didn't understand...

the cop guy goes back to the indian guy that tracks the movement of the Objects to apologize, and the indian guy says he's been sighted in all these different cities including cleveland, and the cop guy says "i haven't been to cleveland." i thought there would be more to that tidbit of information. did i miss something?

they didn't elaborate on that. not sure if that was millionaire's movement or not. i couldn't figure it out either.

Or how The Occupant came to be an object. Why didn't the cop's memory or history disappear after he took over The Occupant's position? How did The Occupant even know he needed to die? How did he know that someone else needed to take his place?

What happened to the glass eye dude?

And what about The Prophet? Since he had that vision of himself in the motel room, wouldn't HE be destined to become The Occupant?

What happened to all the objects that were placed on the door of Room 9? Did they take them when they left?

Maybe I missed something here but did they ever explain what cuased the objects to be created? The ending felt like they were leading up to a series or at least another mini-series.

No, Josh, but according to The Occupant he stated that the objects all needed each other. Why? Who knows.

i can see how the occupant could become an Object, given that he was in the room with all his personal effects (that also became Objects) during whatever quantum physical breakdown happened. but all those other unanswered questions...:wtf:
