He got ahold of some top-shelf players, that's for sure. His voice is too Disney for me, by a long shot, and the whole thing sounds way too clean. But gott-damn there's some good playing in that. The steel player is phenominal. If anyone's not sure what good flat picking is like (and is curious), it's the first solo, the acoustic guitar one.

I wish it didn't sound like the theme to a ride, or maybe background music for Rosco chasing the Duke boys. But it's nice to hear good playing again.

Yeah, it was the flatpicking that pulled me in. But that steel player is amazing, too. Thought there'd be a couple of folks here who'd appreciate this. And I agree about the voice. Still, the playing keeps me listening.
