I know there are a fair amount of users of these services on this board, and I was curious as to the benefits/features you enjoy. I was a BMG member a number of years ago, and I'm thinking of signing again. Has the ability to tend to your account online made things less cumbersome than before?

Yes, it has. You can now pay online, which is a big advantage for me. I think this goes for almost everyone, but I find I use the CD clubs to fill in empty spaces in my collection. Take advantage of good sales and it's completely worth it.

BMG's awesome. I have 3 memberships going right now...selections, price and ease of use online are all great. Columbia House's selection has really deteriorated and I'm probably going to quit that one.

Don't you have the option to cancel the one they send automatically online?

Yeah, you'll get an email once a month and you can decline the disc of the month with one click.

Are the stupid white BMG labels on the cds and artwork? I have asked this a time or two, but I don't think I've ever seen a reply. Sorry if you have replied before.

Although Columbia House has a sweet Buy 1, Get 4 free deal going right now. I haven't looked at the selection yet, but I think I can find something.

If you mean the a small white box on the tray liner containing the UPC scan and "Mfd for BMG Direct" with the BMG Product # and BMG's address, then Yes. Most but not all of BMG's discs have this. I have a bunch that don't, not sure why...maybe the ones on their own labels don't.

There are no unusual markings on the CD or the CD Booklet.

Kung Fu,

I'm a member and it's a pretty sweet deal. I think after all the shipping and handling it comes out to just under $5 a cd. For 12 cds.

I can send you an invite to the membership if you want.

Did you have another name on CMJ?

FKA Dodi Let Me Drive. I think I'm gonna jump in this BMG thang, after I scrape up some damn rent money. I forgot to send invoices this month. Ouch.

Hmmm... I don't know. You'll have to go through some sort of initiation, methinks.

Swweeet. I've never been quoted before.

EDIT: Okay that looks even stupider than the joke. I meant "quoted" as in "beat into a gang" not [quote].

What's the advantage of multiple accounts? Are you giving yourself the "sign up a friend" deals?
