I loved it. Great backstory on the rise and fall of the detroit scene (story based on the Supremes) and Jennifer Hudson owns.

this was terrible. bad imitation motown music and a cliched story.

I agree with Kingfish Lee. I love the Supremes, but this story was super-cheesy and the music didn't have that stomp. Singing was good though.

I was hyped, then I decided against it and wait for the DVD.

sorry but even if it was good, it was still way too long for that story. but the singing was good, especially from the chick from American Idol.

A few good performances, but as a film, it didn't hold up. Too muddled.

I was happy to see Jennifer Hudson get her star performance as she easily had the best voice in that group of "idols", but this just didn't work for me. Sad to say that both Chicago and Rent worked better as movie musicals, and neither of those were that great.

Total chick movie.

You couldn't drag me to see with this even if you baited the tickets with free pussy.

All the music I've heard from it screams 70's Philly maybe. I can't stand it when movies/shows involving music get the music all wrong.

Horrible.

I figured I'd do my parents a favor & hangout with them. Dreamgirls is how they repay me. I had no clue it was a musical & knew almost nothing about it beyond Eddie Murphy & Jamie Foxx are in it & it had gotten favorable reviews. 40 minutes in I wanted to kill myself

I have absolutely no desire to see this film.
