Sounds to my ears sorta like the New Pornographers meet the Foo Fighters. In other words: male and female vocals, big guitars, and even bigger hooks.

Saw them open for Sloan here in Saskatoon. I liked 'em immediately. They put on a good show, too.

pretty good riyl. hang the world stands out but all the bits on their site are great teasers. there's lots to like here.

Listened to the first 3 songs. They were okay, but I'm not gonna run out and buy the album.

I've been playing this album all week (in random play with the Broken West) and it just keeps sounding better. I wish I'd put it on my Top 20 of '06 - just to see it get that big shiny single point at around #498 of the Shmoople.

I had a listen todd, i think i prefer Shrimp Boat though.

Protools has done a fine job on those drums.

But you're right about the pro-tools. The album is produced within an inch of its life, big and artificial and glossy - which is why I likened it to Foo Fighters and the New Porns. Not everything has to sound like a loser crying in his bedroom.
