Saw this today. Pretty good, very 70's--they nail a fine Oakwood look. I liked too that its a movie that doesnt really go anywhere fast; kinda old school like that. At nearly three hours though, it was way too fucking long.

Also, is harry the real Zodiac or what?

I wanted to see Zodiac this weekend but didn't get a chance to. Maybe this week.

i really did like it - some cool direction. the scene in that one old guy's house was good as well as when they questioned Leigh Allen the first time.

yeah, the scene in the basement was great. shit, the fucking first murder made me jump it was so loud.

i think the murders were shot really well. fincher sure is developing a knack for ramping up suspense. the scene at the lake had me on edge, even though i pretty much knew exactly what was going to happen.

it was, though, way too long. the last half-hour dragged on. people in the theater were getting restless.

my fiance stood up a couple times and was stretching her legs over the next row of seats...I asked her after the movie about being restless and she said "my ass fell asleep"

We went to see it as well this weekend, and I was happy to see Fincher back in great mode again. Loved several shots (especially the first shot camera coming into SF port, the overhead cab shot, and the Ghyllenhal POV of Anthony Edwards/Ruffalo walking through the office with various scribblings around them). Did anyone else think there were several laugh out loud black comedy moments--"Is the gun loaded, cause people are gonna ask."

The house scene was creepy. Probably one of the first times in ages I've felt on edge in a theater.

Also, and I'm trying not to sound pretentious here, the new Viper camera is very, very cool. I'm actually down with most of the new digicinema cameras out there.
