Finally some info is available. The first rumored release date was fall of '05, I think.

It will be out on May 22. It's "remixes, re-interpretations, and re-imaginings".

The tracklisting:

Your Ex-Lover Is Dead (Final Fantasy)
Set Yourself On Fire (Montag)
Ageless Beauty (The Most Serene Republic)
Reunion (Jason Collett)
The Big Fight (Minotaur Shock)
What I'm Trying To Say, Pt. 1 (The Dears)
What I'm Trying To Say, Pt. 2 (The Dears)
One More Night (Apostle Of Hustle)
Sleep Tonight (Junior Boys)
The First Five Times (The Russian Futurists)
He Lied About Death (Metric)
Celebration Guns (Camouflage Nights w/Kevin Drew)
Soft Revolution (The Stills)
Calendar Girl (Young Galaxy)

The MSR track was made available on an Arts & Crafts sampler two years ago but I haven't heard anything else off it.

How was Amy's solo album? Worth picking up?

I wasn't that into it. It's alt-country a la Jenny Lewis and Emily Haines' forays. Better than the Metric but worse than the Rilo Kiley.

That's what I thought, but her voice is so great.

Get Heart next.

That's when Amy first joined the group and they start heading into the indiepop camp more than electropop.

There's a handful of EP's that bridge the gap but proper albums are always more fulfilling.

Just posted on Pitchfork -

Quote:
Amy Millan Covers Death Cab, Stars for KCRW EP

While a bunch of other folks were busy reinventing tunes by her band Stars, vocalist Amy Millan was trying her hand at a Stars cover of her own. Millan-- whose solo debut Honey From the Tombs landed last summer via Arts & Crafts-- sat down with KCRW's Ed Harcourt on December 7, 2006 to record a version of "Look Up" (from Stars' 2003 LP Heart), as well as a Death Cab for Cutie cover and a few Honey jams for "Morning Becomes Eclectic".

You can stream and even watch the session right here, but if you're still rocking the 56k or just hate sitting in front of the computer all day long (we sympathize), good news! Amy Millan's KCRW.com Presents Morning Becomes Eclectic session hits digital retailers and A&C's online shop on March 27. It includes Millan's take on "Look Up" and Death Cab's "I Will Follow You Into the Dark", as well as her own "Skinny Boy", "Baby I", and "Losin' You". So download that action, put it on your iPod, and...eh, surf Wikipedia for a few hours.

If you can pull yourself away from the machine long enough, Millan has a few gigs lined up, including a trio of SXSW appearances.

KCRW.com Presents Morning Becomes Eclectic:

01 Skinny Boy
02 Baby I
03 Losin' You
04 Look Up
05 I Will Follow You Into the Dark

Millan:

03-15 Austin, TX - Emo's Jr. (SXSW)
03-16 Austin, TX - Habana Calle 6 Annex (SXSW)
03-16 Austin, TX - Red Eyed Fly (SXSW)
05-04 Toronto, Ontario - Massey Hall
