I saw TVOTR this evening for an hour and a half set.
These guys definitely don't slay live,
but they definitely don't disappoint.
Take that for what you will.
But I find more comfort in the albums.
A stellar Friday evening nonetheless...

I'm sorry to hear they weren't fantastic--I'd heard otherwise.

Seeing them next week and still looking forward to it.

i was pretty raped in the face by their show in philly.

i've seen them 3 times and it's been an awesome show. seeing them play at the hollywood bowl opening for massive attack was fuckin epic.

In complete agreement with Dri. The in-store at Ameoba almost melted my face.

although the venue -- a theater with permanent seating
somewhat negatively affected the atmosphere.
I showed up late for Subtle,
but I liked what I heard.

Seen 'em 4 times. Have never disappointed. They are here in a month. Damn excited to hear the Cookie Mountain songs. Especially "Wolf Like Me"

I'm going to see them next month in a medium-sized but nice venue. Last time they were here in the area was opening up for Bauhaus at an outdoor summer concert. I couldn't imagine seeing Bauhaus in the summer sun and somehow I thought TVOTR may also seem a bit strange in that atmosphere. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it.
