Beat Happening's box set Crashing Through.

Google's giving me nothing but a handful of false hope and eBay's empty. Even Amazon has nothing. A single link or a reference to a brick and mortar store that might have it. $5 in your bank account.

Fucking hell. $100.71 after shipping.

You'll get your $5 but the offer still stands, if anyone can find me it cheaper.

I checked that but they said it's backordered, and when I went to help and read about that, that means they don't know if they can get it or not. They'll check once I give them the money and, if they can't, they'll give me my money back.

Sounds like a scam to me.

Don't worry about it...sounds an awful lot like 'backordered'. I gotta imagine amazon.com and amazon.uk talk to each other

I really need to get a credit card.

That appears to be the best option yet, however.

But I already paid $30 for Daniel Johnston and that was only two discs.

Cduniverse.com is a very reliable place to get cds. I use them every week to preorder my stuff. They have great prices as well. As far as I understand they don't charge your credit card until your item ships so if they can't get it they won't charge you. I wouldn't hesitate giving them a shot. They've given me nothing but exceptional customer service and saved me tons of dough on new releases. Preorders are 30% off I believe. As far as paypal goes I would trust them to refund you if they couldn't produce. They did that with a Cocteau Twins box set for me that went quickly out of print right after I ordered it.

Great box set by the way. I preordered mine from K records and it came autographed by the band. The signatures are shitty but is was cool none the less.

I suppose so. Your site appears to have it in stock, despite me being unable to order it. Either way, that's my obstacle to overcome, not yours.

I wound up trying CD Universe. They attempted for a month and a half to find it but wound up telling me they couldn't.

I guess I'm SOL until something turns up on eBay. Or maybe they'll put it back in print someday.

Wait, he traded in an out of print box set for some credit to get scratched up crap on lala? Or they have an option to actually sell cds for cash?

No -- I was wrong! He sold it on Amazon. He does have a Lala trading account, too.

So, thanks to my new credit card, I ordered from the UK Amazon site.

As of this afternoon, Amazon.com only had two listed. One was $150 and the other was $75 but considerably used and the discs were scratched up, he said.

Amazon.co.uk had a new copy for $100 after shipping. I paid the 100. It's the last time I'll ever pay that much for something but I know it'll be worth it for me. Beat Happening are one of my favorite bands. With it, I now own everything they released. And I'll just refrain from buying any books or movies next payday to make up for it.
