Image Saturn VUE

I don't know if you care, but I saw a graphic (I don't remember where, but not just "on the Internet") talking about how "American" American cars were, and Saturn was pretty low (i.e. more than 50% foreign parts). Just thought it was interesting. Some were up to 95%.

There's a big graphic the Vue in the February 2005 issue of Wired showing where the various components were manufactured.

I drive a '93 Saab 900. It's not cheap to have repaired but I usually fix everything myself and if you're worried about american content it's about 5% american pride.

Don't laugh -- I was about to join/create a band, and a large part of our target market were going to be the goths and the rivetheads -- how cool would it have been to show up in one of those, and unload the gear out the back, where the coffin goes? I'm sure it would have been a trivial adaptation.

Turns out, those things are only made by one company, and are expensive, even on the used market.

beda-boomp boomp boomp Another one bites the dust...

New VWs suck.

<---- drives a 1969 VW Beetle with about 250K under its wheels. I love it, his name is "Stuart." he has a car cover. I hope that I can drive him for another 36 years at least.

I recently bought a mazda Protege 5, its a hatchback model similar to the new 3s that are out. I got a great deal on it and it drives like a champ...mazda dealers also give great warrantys on their pre-owned cars
