it got both my ip address and my ISP wrong - it only knew what country not what ISP.

Explain this one to me TimmyJoe.....I'm baffled. By the way, it gets my info wrong but does know the difference between browsers (i tried it in IE and firefox)

well, basically it reads your ip, which gives it the isp because i think isp's own certain ranges of ip addresses, and then they can tell what country the isp is in.

I'm not sure how it tells which browser you are in.

Is it possible that people have an incoming and outgoing ip address?

For me it doesnt say the country, It says that I'm running Windows XP, whar browser I'm using and then the address.....

As for the ingoing/outgoing thing, I've got no idea. Ask Haq or some other smarty pants. :roll:

I dont think the Ip it says is either my internal or external address, and for the ISP it just says .co.nz, which is just our suffix.
