I suppose by Yankee definition, Pettite is now less then mediocre?

Great game, Dice-K showed tremendous poise after getting in a big jam. That Yankees bullpen is cooked, they are in serious trouble

Can't wait to see Giambi's D at first tonight :-)

Yes, Pettite's start was medicore at best. You're learning definitions! yay!

And I agree with you 100% with the rest.

Our bullpen is burnt and I'd get rid of Mietkewicz in a heart beat, live with Giambi at first, and rotate Melky intot he linup giving other gusy breaks to DH.

I'm not nearly worried though. it's still April. Yanks started off 9-15 a few years ago, and came back and won the division. the season is young.

This is what amazes me, that Yankees fans either don't realize the urgency of their situation or are pretending not to. How a fan could not be worried at this juncture strikes me as crazy...

Whatever the case...should be a good game today. Karstens got hit around last weekend, I don't see today being much different. Yankees have gone over 20 innings without an extra base hit, so they are somewhat due to break out. Should be a good battle

Red Sox Last Month Of 2006 = worried

Yankees First Month Of 2007 = worried

But hark, young R. Clemens will come galloping in on his trusty steed anyday now, fear ye not, Yorky vassals.

Biggest melon: Bruce Bochy, Barry Bonds, or Roger Clemens?

(That's in order, from least likely to have been influenced by steroids, to most likely.)

It's APRIL 28th BRO!!! There are 140 games remaining. We are only 5 games out. I am not the least bit worried.

Wang was hurt. Mussina was hurt. Petitte was hurt. Pavano was hurt. We had to throw rookie after rookie out there. We had to tax our bullpen.

Serioulsy, like the Yanks or hate them more then Osama; do you think they are a last place team? You don't think there will eventually turn it around? come on guys! be serious.

i am not the least bit worried! there is a long way to go.. In the end, the cream always rises...It will be New York and Boston battling it out to the last week like always.....

on a game day note: today was a nice win. Yankee stadium is always great when the Sox are in town. Electric even in April.

And saw a wise ass red sox fan who voluntarily wore a 'yankee sucks' t-shirt into the stadium get thrown into a wall by a hulking linebacker loooking dude. he cried. LOL . He looked up at the guy with tears starting to well up whining how he was just supporting his team...The guy mocked him, rubbing his eyes, saying 'so was he'...lol

Look, i don't condone violence; If you want to wear your Red Sox hat, or jersey in the stadium; more power to you....but if you are gonna wear that shirt, and chant it ass you walk thru the concession area's while being belligerent, you deserve what you get...

ha...nice. definitely deserved it with that shirt.

Well, the Yankees found lighning in a bottle today with Igawa...oh well. They should win tomorrow with the clear picthing advantage. It will be interesting to see if the team recovers overall from the latest funk they have been in.

On a side note, nice to see ARod human again

I was so confident that Farnsworth was gonna blow the game for us in the 8th.

My dad and I even came up with Sunday paper's headline...
"FarnsWorth-less".

dammit..i would have been famous...but i'll take the win!

Yeah I thought this was the one game the Yankees would definitely take.
