Now that the abortion cat is out of the bag, what's the point of this non-issue?
Pro-choicers will have abortions, Pro-lifers will force their kids to carry to term, nobody will wisen up and use one or more forms of protection, and the whole vicious cycle begins again, but maybe with a VD here and there to spice it all up.
If they ever made it illegal again, the only thing that would change are where the abortions take place and how unsanitary and dangerous they will become.
So seriously, what's the point in getting bent out of shape when it's such a circular argument on both sides of the fence?
Is it just because they harrass and offend pro-choicers? I agree, poor taste, and it doesn't accomplish anything, but it isn't changing anything either.
In my few years of doing what I do, I have concluded that neither sie has an interest in doing ANYTHING about it. Republicans would actually lose voters if gegortion were illegal, because many Cath-o-Lics are naturally aligned with the Democrats, but vote Repub on this single issue. By keeping people in a lather about this, both sides are able to exploit people for the one thing they really need: Money.
