I just called up my crappy AC station and (using a Swedish accent) requested that Of Montreal song, just cause I'm half-drunk and it seemed like a funny thing to do.

The overnight DJ (whom I trained, but he's still an idiot) went "The CORPSE???? What the hell????? I don't know about that. I'll have to ask the music director. I don't think that's in rotation. You did say corpse, right?"

That is hilarious! You should keep it going. If the guy asks you tomorrow, tell him you've heard about this Swedish guy, and that he's nuts. Tell the DJ that if he values his life, he'll play whatever the hell the nutso Swedish guy says to play.

Then Call back tomorrow night, and request the Rat. Or something else with a creepy name.

when i was in school at my late-night radio show, some kids used to call up and pretend to be prisoners making requests. and that wasn't too uncommon because the county prison was up the road and they called often. it's just that they never called at midnight because prisoners don't have phone access then. i called these kids out every time.

i think my point is that what frosting phil did is funny. and those kids were not.
