Not that this is a music board or anything ...

My new and favourite jacket just split from the zipper up. It'll only zip down halfway down from the top now. I'm beside myself and at a loss. Des suggestions ou sympathie, s'il vous plait.

If it's new, can't you take it back? Raise a little hell and they'll get you a new one.

My suggestion is mail it to a older female relative, perhaps a mother or grandmother. They will know what to do.

You can take it to a dry cleaners who does alterations -- they can repair it for you.

And the voice that sounds like the one I hear in my head.

I know I know. I considered that. I figured Aural would consider that I'd considered that before replying, and know that my consideration was implied in my answer.

(I chose to omit my disclaiming sentence then, but words can't save me now.)

D'oh.

Can you see me standing with my hands on my hips just like a mom would do? Y'know the stance...the one with that look?

Btw, your zipper...are the teeth broken or did the foot just get taken out of its track?

The teeth from the bottom to the middle came apart. The foot won't zip down now beyond that poin where it is essentially caught now connecting the upper half of the jacket.

I don't have a receipt that I can find, and it's from the Gap. I'd raise hell there, but I don't think I'd get far.

And, of course, it's a high of 2 degrees c today.
