this would be cool - they share a similar aesthetic, and would compliment each other well on tour.

Yeah I have the date written down. Only thing is, I haven't figured out if the club they're playing at here is 21+ or not.

exactly right.

will be interesting to see if ulrich plays any new album material. supposedly one of the new tracks sounds like an epic electronic pink floyd meets stone roses. real tripped out, but with driving drums and bass.

I've been meaining to pick up M83's new record but have'nt had the chance.
Is it better than Deas Cities, Red Seas, & Lost Ghosts?
I only heard a couple of samples.

the new album has more vocals, and took a bit for me to get used to.

It's definitely not better than the debut. The debut being damn near unfuckwitable. But the new album is good. It has more soft moments and more vocals...but all in all, I think it plays a lot like a fantastic movie score of something. Some of it is really dramatic, I like it a lot. But it doesn't measure up to their debut (most things dont)

yeah, the new one comes off really unfavourably compared to the old one (one of the best of the decade so far, imo) but is decent enough if you take it in its own right.

when does this come out?

also, the new m83 has really grown on me. a few really bad tracks, but the majority are good to great.

Nice remix, perfect for a Gregg Araki movie soundtrack.
