Josh and I were at the wedding of Ampersand(matt) last night.

He married his girlfriend Trish and they make a smashing couple indeed.

The wedding started off a little late(thank god since we walked in right as it was supposed to start, but so did about 20 other people). I saw him and the bridal party outside the door of the place and he looked a bit nervous. Then it started and they had one of the biggest bridal parties I've ever seen(8 people on each side). And it went beautifully and the man who presided over it was jubilant and kind.

Afterwards there was a cocktail hour. Josh and I knew no one there so that was interesting.

Dinner was great. Food was actually much better then that at our own wedding. And though the bar closed 10 minutes before dinner and there was no wine served til an hour into dinner, our whole table almost started a revolt. hehe. But it went great and they looked amazing and very happy.

We luckily were sat with what turned out to be ONE person I knew from going to shows with Matt(where was this guy during cocktail hour??). That and a few of his co-workers who were a lot of fun to be with, and they joked that of course they sat us all in the back. One of them asked how I met Matt and well, you try explaining it was through "this music board for indie rock fans, and ummm....yeah well..."

His brother, who was his best man, gave a funny speech making fun of Matt's obsession with bands that no one knows about or cares about. ha.

After dinner we said our goodbyes and had to leave due to mass exhaustion. And now the newlyweds are readying themselves for a two week trip to Hawaii.

Congrats Matt if you're reading this!!

<--- completely and totally in agreement.

Smartest thing Matt ever did was hitch their wagons together. Lucky bastard.

Yeah, I know Timmy.

But he's not allowed to at work at all. And I don't think he gets a chance to at home because they only have one computer and Trish works from home a lot.

One day he'll come back Timmy...don't worry.
