John Davis, who be the lead singer for Supergrag (who are on hiatus at the moment) accepted Jesus in his heart. With that, a new album came to be:

Dude's really into it according to this pic. Took me awhile to recognise the bastard. Checked out his website where he posted mp3 excerpts for us all to enjoy. Here's a full song. What do y'all think. Me like-y so far. Album comes out March '05.

No love for the Superdrag's frontman and the good lord above?

This new song "Too Far Gone" is a great rockin' power pop track. If only I could find it in it's entirety on slsk...

Definitely not. I find both rely too much on a half-assed assemblage of used parts, old cliches, and slothful thinking.

I heard his new album was going to have a touch o' religion to it, but I didn't imagine he'd gone this far...

That's pretty scary.

Its a pretty decent album, but he lays the Jesus on pretty thick.

one look at the liner notes and its pretty obvious.

Still one of the nicest people I've ever met...good luck to him.

So, it's the real title of the EP then...

There will be no defending John Davis and his recent Pedro-The-Lionology, especially is "Jesus Gonna Build Me A Home" is the title of something he put out...

I hope he sells mad units at Cornerstone, Yo...

I don't know anything about any conversion, but under ordinary circumstances I would take that title simply as a blues/spirituals reference and assume that had some bearing on the album's influences, which obviously would not be a bad thing.

well he was a pretty hard drinker and, in my experience, alcoholics have a pretty high rate of being born again. at least that's what i've seen. . . something about needing some sort of moral compass or something. hey, if it works for him and makes him happy then he can do whatever the hell he wants. . .

. . . i stopped caring when the orginal band split anyway. the second album was so promising with touches of psychelic then the guitarist and bassist split and the albums turned into a "color by numbers" affair imho. i still listen to the first two all the time, though.
