he was sooo good opening for my morning jacket last year. i wasn't expecting much, and he blew me away...played the entire set by himself, looping his violin over and over.

then he came out for a couple of tunes with mmj that were just phenomenal.

count me in with the "up for top album of the year honors" camp.

i like but need more listens

I liked it first, without no hype, nernee-nernee.

having another listen today. definitely liking this.

the only thing that it has going against it is that i've been listening to a lot of male singer-songwriter types recently: elliot smith, ed harcourt, josh rouse, iron&wine, jesse sykes (i know it's a female, but i thought it was a high-pitched male @ first...), and i know there's more. running out of room in my interest wagon.

i expect to buy this via emusic when it eventually pops up there.
