I think, the plan is to re-release every single album in a remastered version in the next years.
the problem for ten was this old-school sound in the last years. this album may easily be the most spun CD in my life, but not anymore in the last 5 years.

Man, this album is 18 years old. Tons of bands remaster their shit. I don't see why they should be any different. When this came out, albums that were 18 years old at the time, I've since picked up remastered/reissued versions of by Springsteen, Tom Waits, The Stooges, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Bowie, The Harder They Come, Stevie Wonder. I'm sure there are plenty of kids out there that will get this as they start checking out older albums.


I still like this album. Yeah there are some tunes that are way overplayed and probably always will be but I still really like some of the deep cuts like "Oceans", "Deep", "Garden" and especially "Release" which is one of my favorite closing songs of all time.

Seems like there is some misguided hate going on in this thread too. Even if you don't like their music I think their business model is worthy of respect.

this was and is a boring album.

The same clowns in this thread that hate PJ chime in every time they come up. Blah boring blah, whah these guys teased me who liked PJ, whah, blah this is beneath me because I'm so sophisticated whah...who cares.

I was thinking about this the other day after listening to Archers of Loaf's Icky Mettle for the first time in a long time. I still like it okay, but it certainly isn't something I would buy or even probably listen to now if I didn't buy it in '93.

As for Ten, I liked this when it came out and recently listened to some of the songs again. Some I didn't mind, some just seemed awful.

Yeah, there are plenty of things I liked as a teenager and on into college that are are embarrassing now, but I still have a soft spot for some of it, like Pearl Jam. They were my favorite band when I was 16 and remained one of my favorites throughout my teens. It's hard to totally turn my back on that.

The version of 'State of Love & Trust' on this re-issue is embarassingly bad....

The version from the 'Singles' sdtrk. was a million times better..

music is cleaner, but i dont know if i like it as much as the original.....too polished in a way.
