A sound strategy, if you managed to get tix to the Troubadour show, which I did not. Cinespace is my only hope...

Luckily my friend hooked me up. :) Otherwise, I'd be ditching tonight! Cinespace isn't too shabby for shows, the stage area is just small... and it gets crowded fast, and the line moves slow. The bar is slow too. Have fun!

So basically, it's an overcrowded place with a small stage and a slow bar... How is this not too shabby?

Damn, I wish I could have gone to this, but I had homework to do  . I really want to see Bloc Party, but didn't get tickets. Someone has to tell me how this was so I will REALLY regret not going.

Bloc Party didn't play. That flyer has been photoshopped.

Unless of course they played after everyone left.

And I got a fucking parking ticket. The night was so worth it until then.

Sorry...that was the word on the street...

blame http://www.ambitious-outsiders.com for the "fake flyer"...but, at least you had fun (until the parking ticket), right?

That sucks. :( Well, they're playing at the Glasshouse on Monday night, tickets are only $10. Only problem it's all the way out in Pomona but tickets are still available for that show.

Don't worry, Post. I don't blame you. I saw the flyer on ambitious outsiders (which is a great site, by the way) minutes before I saw it here. I did have a really good time, honestly. I managed to pack away four free Newcastles before they ran out. On to the bands...

I really enjoyed I Am Kloot. Pretty straightforward British rock Funny frontman. ("We're from Manchester...You don't care? Well FUCK OFF THEN!") Not especially tight, but then they don't really need to be.

Pony Up (Ben Lee's favorite band!) were decent. Four cute girls playing Shins-esque pop. Horrid lyrics ("There's blood on your arms again, and now I'm wet" anyone?), but fairly catchy tunes.

And Har Mar was a good fuckin' time. The ipod playing his backing tracks kept crapping the bed, so the band went at it alone. And did a fine job of it. Hadn't seen them before, but would definitely go again.
