Oral Roberts (25-7) at Maryland (16-12), 9 p.m.

Let the mediocrity begin.

Watch Oral whoop up on the Terps. I thought about going down to the game, but I have shit to do tonight.

oh lord, why'd you have to remind me?

i'm pretty much expecting md to come out with absolutely no intensity and lose.

then i hope gilchrist leaves.

it doesn't look very good for next year either, unfortunately.

It's amazing to think that this is Gary Williams's team coming after the recruitment efforts after a National Championship. You can be great at times (2004 ACC Tourney, both Duke games this year) or you can be horrible (all 3 Clempson L's). Baffling.

You don't have to have Terrapin Club ties to get tickets. You can just walk up and buy 'em on your credit card. How inspiring. I thought about it just because I haven't been to Comcast, and I don't have the CP connection to get into Cole I used to have.

As for my Kreskinesque abilities, I told my roommate after the first UNC loss that Gary's Kids were gonna break the tournament streak.

Maryland, Indiana, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Wichita State could make this an interesting (and terribly mediocre) NIT tourney.

Go Shockers.

Cannot disagree.

My only question: does WSU paraphernalia sell as well as USC wear bearing the nominative 'Cocks', or OSU merchandise sporting the phrasal 'Beavers', or antique (since the name was changed) Beaver College gear?...

Oh, and let's not forget Morehead St. (Miss.) and Morehead St. (Minn.)....

There is a case to be made that this Maryland team has only played well for one week in the last two years. Let's keep in mind that they were 7-9 in the ACC last year and maybe 19-13 overall. Expectations for them to compete for the national title were misguided at best. Granted, you expect them to make the tournament but everyone was so infatuated with the run in the ACC tournament that they lost sight of the possibility that it may have been a fluke.

i have a ticket for the maryland game later. however, i have a paper to finish, a book to finish, and i'm absolutely exhausted. i don't know if i have the mental capabilities to endure a potential christ-inspired beatdown on my team.
